Transcript and Screenshots for Overview: Preset Report Tab
In this training, I will give you an overview of the Preset Report tab in Managenable® risk template software.
The Preset Report tab is available from the Home tab, under the Profile section.
With this Preset Report tab, you can easily create the most comprehensive report for multiple Risk IDs.
The Preset Report tab has a Data Filters section that you use to select the dataset you want to display in the report.
For more information on how Data Filters are used, please refer to the relevant training.
Underneath the Data Filters’ section, there is a drop-down list: Lists of Risk IDs in Contents.
With this drop-down list, you can show or hide the lists of IDs in all the tables in the Preset Report tab.
For example, when you choose to hide the lists…
… each table displays a message that the list is currently hidden.
And when you choose to show the lists…
… each table displays the relevant list of Risk IDs.
The default selection is to show the lists.
However, if you have a slower computer, and a huge risk register, when you use other parts of this risk application, it will refresh a bit faster if you set this drop-down list to Hide, and select to show the lists only when needed.
Underneath the List of Risk IDs in Contents, there is the Contents section.
The Risk, Remediation, and Dynamic parts of the Contents section refer to the same sections…
… as in the Home tab.
In the Contents section of the Preset Report tab, each hyperlink leads to a section which displays specific sets of information for the Data Filters you selected.
Underneath the Contents section, you find the section All Risk IDs involved with the Data Filters currently applied to the tab.
On the right side of this section, you can see the total number of Risk IDs involved.
You can also show or hide this section.
Let’s go back to the Contents section.
On the left side, you find some drop-down lists to show or hide the whole section or, a subsection.
All tables are similar.
Each one has a header with a Title and subtitle.
The current Preset in use, and its validity, are shown on the right side of the header.
The left column contains all the possible values for that table.
All values and colors in these tables are the same as those in the register from where data is pulled.
The middle columns contain some basic statistics.
And the right column contains the list of Risk IDs involved for each possible value.
If no Risks are involved, the list does mention it explicitly.
In summary, the Preset Report tab is easy to use, and is very helpful for creating the most comprehensive report for a dataset of multiple Risk IDs.
