Transcript and Screenshots for Overview: Objective Register Tab
In this training, I will give you an overview of the Objective Register tab in Managenable® risk template software.
In the Home tab, the link towards the Objective Register tab is available under the Objective section.
The Objective Register tab contains information on the Objectives which are possibly at risk.
In the Objective Register tab, the validity of all records in this tab is available on the leftmost column.
For more information on the Validity Status in Register tabs, please refer to the relevant training.
The column Objective statement is where you enter the statement of all the Objectives possibly at risk.
Only unique statements must be entered for the risk management application to function properly.
If you enter an Objective statement which already exists, the alert Dupli is displayed beside the duplicated items.
Also, you do not have to enter those Objective Statements by alphabetical order.
Indeed, wherever else Objective Statements are used in a drop-down list, those statements are automatically presented by alphabetical order.
For example, in the Risk Register tab, when we want to select an Objective at Risk, the list of Objectives which are relevant to the Structure at Risk, is automatically sorted by alphabetical order.
And there is an even more interesting feature.
If you change any Objective Statement, this change is automatically reflected in all relevant records in all tabs.
For example, let’s say that an Objective Statement is already selected as an objective at risk in the Risk Register tab.
If you decide to change this Objective Statement to correct a spelling mistake, or to replace it altogether, you simply do it in the Objective Register tab.
Then, throughout the risk application, in all tabs, and for all records where you previously selected this Objective Statement, those records are automatically updated with the new statement.
You do not have to reselect the statement in the tab.
This great feature tremendously speeds-up any update you may need to apply, and this dramatically improves data integrity in the risk workbook.
The column Structure is where you select the structure which owns the objective, or the structure where the objective applies.
The list of structures is automatically picked-up from the Structure Register tab.
For more information on the Structure Register tab, please refer to the relevant training.
The column Objective Owner is where you select the Objective Owner, or People accountable for the Objective.
The list of People is automatically picked up from the People Register tab.
For more information on the People Register tab, please refer to the relevant training.
The following columns are where you select Custom Lists’ items.
Custom Lists are an important feature of this risk management tool.
For more information on Custom Lists, please refer to the relevant training.
The columns Key Performance Indicator and Risk Tolerance are where you enter additional relevant information for the objective, as mentioned in the headers of these columns.
As a side note, information from the column Key Performance Indicator is displayed in the KRI Register tab, where it supports the KRI Scrutiny section.
For more information on the KRI Register tab, please refer to the relevant training.
The following columns refer to the Risk Criteria Levels to use for Likelihood, and for Consequence.
And the following column is where you select if you want to use Quantitative Value at Risk for each objective.
All these columns require further dedicated explanations.
For more information on the Risk Criteria Levels too use for Likelihood and Consequence, and on the Quantitative Value at Risk, please refer to the relevant training.
The column Date Reviewed is where you type the date when you last reviewed each and every record.
The last column, Notes, is where you may keep some notes.
