Transcript and Screenshots for Common Features: Validity Status In Register Tabs
In this training, I will briefly explain the Validity Status in Register tabs of Risk Managenable® template software.
This overview is applicable to all Register tabs: Risk Register, Treatment Register, Control Register, KRI Register, Interaction Register, Objective Register, Structure Register, and, People Register.
As an example, let’s give a look at the Risk Register tab.
In each register, the first column on the left is dedicated to the validity status in the tab.
There is an overall validity status which displays the worst status of all records in the tab.
And there is the validity status for each record in the tab.
3 different symbols are possible
A green v-shaped symbol…
An orange exclamation mark symbol…
And a red x-shaped symbol.
If the validity status is anything else than green, then there is a cause for concern and the issue must be addressed to preserve data integrity throughout the risk management tool.
For each record, where a symbol of trouble appears, you need to find any and all red signs indicating something to be done.
Most commonly, the red signs you will find are right arrows, which indicate that the cell on their right must not remain empty for the record to be considered complete.
Another common red sign is the left arrow, which also indicates that the cell must not remain empty.
Another common red sign could be Select or Update, which indicate that something must be entered in the cell, either by selecting in the drop-down list, or by entering some values.
And another common red sign could be Input, which indicates that something must be entered in the cell.
Let’s give a look at another example: the People Register tab.
The red sign could also be Del or Delete, which indicates that the content of the cell must be deleted.
Here the content of cells must be deleted because there is no People Name, and therefore there is no need to record anything in that row.
In summary, simply correct any issues until the validity status for each record and therefore the overall status, is green.
