Generalities about the Risk Template
Yes, yes, and yes. This risk template software approaches risk as an effect on an objective. It then has two layers to deal with addressing a risk; one called Treatments, which is directly aligned with ISO 31000, and another one called Controls, which goes deeper and is particularly appreciated by Internal Auditors and Project Managers, among others. Have a look at our facts about this risk template, or explore the 100+ help and training pages on our website. You can also download the Free edition to test it by yourself.
The philosophy of Risk Managenable® is straightforward: to provide a fully featured and easy to use set of risk management tools that any risk professionals could modify by themselves in Excel. And all this, at the most affordable rate.
Because there was, and there is, still, a tremendous need for it. In a nutshell, because despite all the risk solutions available, be it for a local network, or serviced over the cloud, most risk management professionals continue to use Excel, for various reasons. But these worksheets are rarely featured enough to meet expectations. And they often overtime become cumbersome to manage, if not unstable or unreliable. Please have a read of our white paper about that.

Features of the Risk Template
Yes, you can. You can quickly and easily create amazing risk and control reports. Indeed, there are 640 charts, a map showing risk interactions with additional information, as well as risk matrices or heat maps always ready to be copied and pasted elsewhere; and a report for multiple risks, with extensive information. You can feed all these with your own selection of data, using filters that you can even record for later use (e.g. for the next report). There is also a full report for a single risk with all data available for that risk from across the whole template. Have a look at the section Risk Reporting of the page Help and Training Topics, or the section Risk Profile of the page Help and Training for Worksheets.
Yes and no. It depends if you have any programming notion or not. We carefully annotated the VBA with more than 7400 lines of comments to make it easy for anyone to understand. However, before changing anything in any programming language, it is better to have a good foundation on that language. Anyway, an example of the annotated code is available in the page with a comparison of VBA in the free and paid versions.
Yes, you can modify absolutely everything whenever you want, however you want. You can even add your own worksheets to extend the features, if you want or need to. And the VBA code is fully annotated with more than 7400 lines of comments to make it easy to understand how it works. An example of the annotated VBA code can be seen in the comparison of the free and paid version, here.
Yes you can. Easily. To transfer your data from a previous version 2, simply do the following. Open the new version and go to the Options tab. Under the Data Management section, click on Delete and Import Data. You will reach a dedicated section in that tab. Click on the drop-down list and select Delete and Import Content in Data Tabs. Then, follow the prompts. Et voila!
